Multi-sport backyard courts in Virginia

Basketball today. A net game tomorrow. Make one backyard space useful for the people who use it.

Prioritize the games you play most

Start with a primary sport and then explore compatible secondary layouts. Too many overlapping markings can become confusing. A clear color hierarchy helps players identify each game.

Portable or adjustable equipment may add flexibility, but it still needs a storage plan and stable installation appropriate to its use. Review the usable footprint with equipment in place.

Coordinate every edge

A multi-sport layout includes the space beside the court: routes for retrieving balls, gates, seating and storage. Place fixed accessories so they do not become obstacles for another activity.

Adapt the project to its setting

Family use and shared community use have different requirements. Tell us about expected users, supervision, access and scheduling so the scope reflects the actual setting.
